Places to Ride
Australia - Tasmania - Launceston -Trevallyn
Where: Probably the best place to start is at the George located near the Penny Royal Village. Begin carrying your bike up the Zig Zag track (signposted). Alternativelty you can drive up George Road to the carpark. Once you reach the first basin in the gGeorge cross the suspension bridge and climb the hill, past the cafe. Once on top there are a number of single tracks leading into the bush. Unfortunately you have to walk up these but the best part is ridinging down them. You can post some large speeds on the straights and also the rocky techniqual section will give you a teeth rattling expereince. All the track lead back to the same point (most of them) so you can descend to you heard is content.
Price: The trails are free to ride. Getting to Tassie can cost about $150 from Melbourne.
Australia - Victoria - Ballarat - Nerrina
Where: This riding area is huge. Probably the best way to discover this area is to call contact Club M.U.D Ballarat. They should be more then helpful to show you some trails. Just head up the fire trail at the end of the carpark to get ot these. They range in difficulty and length with some of the harder trails having steep rock gradens and off camber landings on 6ft + drops. There are trails for all ages and experiences. This place not to be missed!!
